Arsenal suffered a fresh injury blow less than two hours ahead of Sunday's North London Derby against Tottenham Hotspur at the Emirates Stadium, with Leandro Trossard not spotted arriving with the rest of the squad.

The Belgian had scored and assisted in Wednesday's Europa League victory over Bodo/Glimt, but he was not seen arriving at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday morning.

Arsenal confirmed the news in a statement, saying that Trossard had a "slight muscle issue" and would be unavailable for the game.

The absence of Trossard is a blow to Arsenal, who have already been without Gabriel Jesus, Emile Smith Rowe, and Cedric Soares through injury.

Trossard had made a bright start to his Arsenal career, scoring three goals and providing three assists in his first seven appearances.

His absence is likely to mean that Gabriel Martinelli will start on the left wing, with Bukayo Saka on the right and Bukayo Saka through the middle.

Arsenal will be hoping to bounce back from their defeat to Manchester United last weekend and keep their unbeaten start to the Premier League season alive.
